Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Snapshot Archive ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Vitalii Holubenko. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our website archiving service.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your name and email address. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment provider, Paddle — we never store your credit card information on our servers.
Usage and activity data
We collect information about how you interact with the service: which URLs you archive, capture timestamps, API request logs, and IP addresses. This data is used solely to operate and improve the service, and to prevent abuse.
Archived website data
Screenshots, PDFs, and HTML source files of the websites you choose to monitor are stored on our servers in accordance with your plan's retention period. This data is private to your account and is never shared with third parties.
Cookies and analytics
We use session cookies necessary for authentication and may use basic analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use cross-site tracking or sell your browsing data.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the archiving and monitoring service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send alerts and notifications you have configured
- To respond to your support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the service
- To improve existing features and develop new ones
3. Data retention
Archived snapshots are retained according to your subscription plan (ranging from 7 to 365 days) and are automatically deleted when they expire. Request and activity logs are retained for up to 90 days. Your account and personal data remain on file as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data associated with your account is removed within 30 days.
4. Security
All data transferred between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes. While we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, no system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings. You may also:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing
- Opt out of non-essential communications by updating your notification preferences
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
6. Third-party services
We work with the following trusted third-party providers:
- Paddle — subscription billing and payment processing (acting as Merchant of Record)
- Email provider — transactional email delivery (account confirmations, alerts, invoices)
- Cloud storage — secure storage of your archived snapshots
These providers process your data only as necessary to deliver their services and are bound by appropriate data protection agreements.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the service before the changes take effect.
